Frequently asked questions.

Can I modify my order?

It depends. You can request a different shape or size before I start pouring; after I’ve started pouring, orders can’t be modified. Please know that I can’t always honor change requests because certain shapes require a different drying technique. Trays are a common example of this; those require partial pressing, and I can’t complete this after flowers have dried.

Often, I can make additions to your order, but it will depend on the number of additions you’d like and the flowers I still have available (some flowers don’t make it through the drying process).

What happens to my leftover flowers?

Unless you specifically request otherwise, leftover flowers will be disposed of 1-2 months after your order is completed and delivered to you. I keep them on hand for a short time in case you’d like to request additions or there’s a problem with your order.

When I dry flowers for preservation, I dry enough stems to complete your order with some backups. I rarely dry the entire bouquet.

I have extra flowers from bridesmaids/my florist. Should I bring them to you?

If you’re ordering a lot of pieces, it’s recommended to bring extra flowers. Your personal bouquet goes through a lot of stress throughout the big day, so it’s helpful for me to have extras to pick from. That way, I can pick the best blooms for your pieces.

Please keep in mind that any extras I don’t use are disposed of. If you want to save some to enjoy in a vase afterwards, please set those aside for yourself.

I’m planning on doing a bouquet toss. How should I handle that?

Do NOT toss the same bouquet you want me to preserve. If you want to do a bouquet toss, please have your florist make a dedicated throwing bouquet or throw a bridesmaid’s bouquet instead.

Do you offer payment plans?

I recognize that floral preservation is an investment, and cost can be prohibitive for some couples. If cost is a factor, please reach out, and we’ll get something arranged.

Why do the colors of my flowers look so different from my wedding photos?

Blame Mother Nature! While I use techniques to preserve the shape and colors of flowers as much as possible, colors will always change during preservation. Some colors fade more than others, and it’s impossible to predict exactly how they’ll shift.

Additionally, your photographer’s editing style will affect the chromatic appearance of your bouquet in photos, and I can’t make dried flowers do that.

Do you offer color correction?

I personally don’t prefer the look of full color correction preservation; it’s just a personal preference! That said, I do occasionally do mini corrections for white flowers if it will substantially improve the appearance of your preservation.

Will there be flaws in my finished piece?

Floral preservation is handmade art, so 100% perfection is impossible, even from the best preservationist in the world. I strive for high-quality results, but a small number of microbubbles, dust or silica specs, or other resin imperfections are normal. This also applies to small “bruises” in flower petals; they’re unavoidable (and imperceptible until cast in resin).

But this you can trust: I only offer finished pieces that I would be proud to display in my own home.

Do you offer pressed frames?

No. Pressed frames are beautiful. I love them, and I wish I were able to offer them. Unfortunately, I don’t have the bandwidth to offer both frames and resin preservations, so I focus on resin. If you want a pressed frame, I’d highly recommend finding an artist who specializes in frames.
